Please take note,

This is the CFSC required to obtain a PAL.
Course is two days, starting at 9 am on each day. Ends at 5 PM on Saturday. Sunday end time is when testing has been completed.

You are signing up for the CFSC (Commonly refered to as PAL course).

This course is required to obtain a Possession Acquisition License(PAL). You must be at least 12 years or older to take this course. A valid ID must be provided on the first day of the course. Acceptable ID is outlined under the 'CFSC and CRFSC Official ID Policy'.

Students must show appropriate identification when attending the CFSC/CRFSC courses and examinations.

Acceptable Identification

The current list of acceptable photo ID for the CFSC/CRFSC course reports and examination forms is as follows:

  • Any recognized government identification (Military, Ministryetc.)
  • Passport (any Country)
  • Driver’s Licence (any province)
  • Ontario Photo Card (or other government-issued provincial photoidentification)
  • A letter from the bishop of the Mennonite community can also be accepted asidentification
    (The instructor will require a copy of this letter to attach to the course paperwork)

Acceptable Identification for Minors

For students under the age of 18 (Minors) without any of the identification listed above, the following list of acceptable identification for the CFSC/CRFSC course report and examination forms are:

  • Birth Certificate and a valid School PhotoID
  • Birth Certificate and the Parent or Guardian acceptable government identification as per the FSESO Policy above.

COVID and Health Restrictions

Courses will run in accordance with the seating and restrictions allowed by the EOHU at the time the course is held.

There may be unique social distancing, mask requirements, paperwork, and cleaning requirements as set forth by the Eastern Ontario Health Unit (EOHU). If you have concerns regarding the guidelines set by the OFAH, OHEP, EOHU and government bodies, set forth to protect yourself, other students and instructors please contact the instructor prior to class.

The last step to completing your registration is sending the course fee to the instructor. Course fee can be paid with one of the following methods:

  1. E-transfer the course fee to chris@ottawahunting.com. When making an e-transfer, please include your name and ID number in the comments so your status can be properly updated
  2. Completed course payment using PAYPAL
    .
  3. Making alternate payment arrangements ahead of time with the instructor.

Till payment is completed and confirmed, you are not fully registered and someone else may take your seat as registrations are only completed with the course fee has been paid.

After the fee has been transfered, you can verify your course payment has been recieved and processed by checing our Student Status Check.

Refund Policy

Course deposits may be refunded to the student under one of the following conditions.

  1. If the reserved seat can be filled with another student from a cancellation list or filled after removal of a student if no other seats were vacant prior to the student's removal;
  2. The course is cancelled by the instructor or rescheduled to a date that cannot be met by the student upon notice of the rescheduled course date; or
  3. The instructor fails to attend the course, or make alternate instruction arrangements for the course.
